We are committed to creating enduring architecture in the development of a wide range of projects from custom homes to commercial, educational and institutional buildings.

Our work is inspired by fundamental criteria to which we believe all people respond: natural light, texture, colour, natural materials and a sense of openness and shelter. We create spaces that stimulate the senses, are healthy and dignified workplaces, with access to views and a connection to nature.  Each project, regardless of size, offers a unique challenge and experience.

Skinner Architects has achieved recognition for design excellence on a broad range of projects. Based on strong fundamentals, we have demonstrated a commitment to environmentally sustainable building and site design. Our projects explore passive and innovative technologies in environmental design to reduce energy consumption and the ecological impact of built form. Our firm is well positioned to facilitate an environmental agenda for all types of projects.

The practice, founded in1997, has received numerous awards including the Urban Design Awards by the City of London for custom residential and institutional projects. Bradley P. Skinner, the firm’s principal, continues a tradition of leadership in the promotion and practice of innovative design. His highly visible projects earn consistent praise for their design excellence and attention to the aspirations and functional requirements of their users.

Skinner & Skinner Architects builds on the work of Paul M. Skinner Architect. Paul’s work through three decades (1967 to 1997) had a profound effect on the built environment in Southwestern Ontario. Distinct and regionally renown buildings such as the London Middlesex Courthouse, Western University’s Thompson Arena Athletic Centre, original CNR Train Station, Victoria Hospital and 3M Headquarters changed the face of London. Numerous other high-quality residential and office developments benefited from his vision and design ability.
